Random but serious question does the .....
The T5-Rs 2.3-litre engine was force-fed by a chunky turbo and developed a pant-wetting 250bhp.
.......engine described above fit the 480
as there might be a chance of laying my hands on one . and going super speeds
does a T5 r fit a 480

no, not with out some serious modding to the 480. the t5r is vaugely based on the vw 5cyl engine. also no room in the bonnet for it and you will struggle to keep it cool enough as well.
i know some one (there has been post here before) has done the t4 conversion (a t5r engine with on cyl cut off) and had major problems with it!

I know the t5r is a volvo engine but as i saidDaniel480 wrote:The 5 cilinder gasoline engine is a Volvo engine, and has nothing to do with a VAG engine
i think volvo use parts of the bottom end of the VAG in the t5.bkf_uk wrote:the t5r is vaugely based on the vw 5cyl engine"
