downpipe and the bent in it

Why oh why is every 400 series downpipe not bent correctly ?

If i am right a charged engine needs a flow with as little as possible resistance ???

In the bent where the downpipe goes from vertical to horizontal it is slightly curved inwards.

So if i am right with a correctly bent downpipe I should be able to mobilise a few extra horses ???
Maybe a downpipe with a bigger diameter, especially for the T25 and t3 and so on boys should be better ??? right ???

Oke , possibly the subframe and lack of space. but still the question then :: with a downpipe that is bent correctly we should be able to mobilise a few extra horses with the Pruen or Rica or whatever mod, surely with the big mod ??? right ??
