crank, rods and pistons combo

hi

im having trouble finding forged pistions and rods for thue 1.7 turbo engine, direct fittment anyway.

i knw its a renault block, so is there another crank out of a renault that i could use, without to much crnak stroke diffrence to standard?

then amyboe could use some matching rods and suitable forged pistions.

any info would be exelent

I dont get really your question right, I think.

No other Renault engine have forged pistons standard. It is all custom work (JE pistons example)

pistons ( turbo one's are HERON type ) are about Ã‚Â£180 each from volvo and very trick all things considered as porsche designed them for volvo , i would just get your old pistons maybe lightened and all balanced , you also ceramic coat them and dry film lubricant on the underside . i believe this what RPRUEN did when he 275BHP ish !!

you could contact PISTON BROKE ENGINEERING in bristol if you really want to but heron pistons are going pretty much all you can use i.e not cheap . why don't you go mad and get a smashed volvo S50 T5 and shoehorn in the lump???

are the standard pistons forged allready? thats a hell of a price for standard cast items
