Someone on ebay offering a cheap and easy way to increase bhp by adding this chip in. seems too good to be true. Anyone seen it or got any thoughts about it? What long term effect would it have on my 91 Turbo for example??

It's one of oldest cons on the Internet, it seems, and I believe it works by altering your CPU and making you run very very rich on fuel.

I think this has been covered before too, basically, if you want real power increase you have to pay a real price, no two ways about it!

Its not worth risking your engine with some cheap con-no offence, but leave the cheap tricks to the boy racers and treat your 480 to something decent

If you want the exact same thing...unplug your lambda sensor...that costs nothing, and you'll run rich, use loads too much fuel and have a small performance gain.

Theres a saying "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is."

This is especially true of Esta, who, it turns out, is a murderous cyborg.

Ta all for confirming my suspicions troops. I guess I'll put a decent air filter and exhaust on it and leave it at that.

Took my son out in new Turbo the other day. He's 4 so looks funny at the best of times but being pressed into the back of his booster seat with freefall face ripples was extra funny.

a friend of mine fell for this, its like a resistor of sum sort that makes u run way too rich, its works briefly befor it destroys your engine
