Richard charges approximatly £80 , but the best thing you can do is source a spare ecu to send by post so your car won't be off the road, in the drivers footwell pull off the trigangular piece of carpet on the left inside of the footwell, this is held in place with click clips and velcro. then you will see the ecu encased in it's black/grey polystyrene housing, you must carefully disconnect the rubber hose ( boost reading pipe) and the main ecu connector then you can slide out the ecu .

then all you need to do is see what colour the bosch label is printed in I.e orange , blue , red etc and then get a spare one , scrappers charge from £10 to £30 depending on thier mood and ethics.

hope this helps , i have had 2 richmods and have never looked back and still smiling.

but as our other forum member pointed out rich is a very busy person ( i mean very busy ) so if Richard said it will be a week turnaround but it ends up 3 weeks there will a reason for it and i'm fine with that , after all he is saving us about £350 compared to inferior equivilants of his ECU mod.

cheers FELYX :)

Felyx says it all, couldn't agree more, so why this comment(?);
got my spare ecu back on christmas-eve after a very long wait,
due to circumstances beyond...

There is a song or better ''a theme from......'' which goes as:
''don't throw the dice if you can't pay the price, don't do it''
for this subject equivalent to:
if you can't bare to be patient don't request a Richmod.
I was patient and am thrilled every moment when the rpm
go beyond 3000 ..

@martinholmesuk,

sorry, bad english i guess.
i better had used;

''Felyx says it all, couldn't agree more, so why this post ?''

(meaning, what is there more to say if somebody allready says it all)
in dutch: zelfspot
english: self-mockery

Agree, its well worth the wait but i never waited more than a week for my first mod. Posted it got the mod and got it back within 7 days!!

The one ive got just now took 4 months, thanks to the posties losing the parcel!! Was worth the wait for the dual layer purple mod though :)

Yes no problem however the 'super' mod would kill the box, standard rich mod is fine. Big grin factor!
