Can anyone tell me what kind on injectors 480 uses. Low impedence or high impedence.
Damn the price is still way to much that I can handle on a new turbo. Got to think about another solution.

Around 20,5lb/min @ 6000rpm and 0.9bar boost

For 5400rpm it's 18.5lb/min. So that's the deviation (2,5lb/min) which you have in your mind when selecting a turbo. We dont have an accurate VE value.

But with these data a T3-60 trim would be ideal flow wise. However I could imagine a modern GT17 or 22 to be very nice on a b18ft.

GT17 and GT22 would be nice if they where also watercooled, but they are just oilcooled. But going to rebuild the original T2 I think. After consulting with some racing mechanics desided to go back to a stock small turbo. Gona ad an oilcooler to get the oiltemp down, maby a better intercooler to fight against heatsoak. Lowed the big turbo on the car, but damn. I can't afford it and it isn't a lot faster on a track. Cos of low rpm boost it might be even faster. As the money i save I can use on suspention, tyres and that kind of stuff to get the handling better. Also got to save up for a Volvo Amazon :P

Just plug the water line. :D

Hmm, I would thought the GT-series would be oil- and watercooled, curious.

Throttle response and a good power delivery is what you want.

The watercooled turbo on a 480 has one big advantage - water cooling, that lets you turn your car off when you stop and not having to idle it for a while. + added waterpump to keep it cool when engine off. Just oil cooling brings along some problems. Here comes an idea? Has anyone added a special radiator for a coolant going to the turbo. To keep the coolant temp and turbo temp down.

Vins480turbo did plug an extra radiator in it, but I cann't remember if it was for the transmission or the turbo.

Gettin new tyres soon, with a good price again :)
GoodYear Excellence 195/50/R15 on 7" wide rims. A small strech :) I think they are good enough for a DD track car.
