how much torque?

hi just had stage one rich mod done
how much torque will the engine now produce had 120bhp and 195nm before rich said power will now be 170-175bhp but how much torque? cant wait to see how my car compares to my bros MK IV golf gti with £500
chip upgrade to about 200bhp!!!

STD 480 turbo "only" had 175NM torque
The Rica chip (Dutch tuning company who also offers chiptuning for the 480) gives 162BHP and 225NM.
So the Richmod should also give 225NM of torque, maybe a bit more even

I used to know but have forgotten... basically, it's the same torque as a Ford Transit and a Peugeot 3.0L V6... enjoy mate... it's a real motorway killer

my volvo owners manual says 190nm not 175nm. 175 is for auto gearbox and mine is a manual
i like to be in what gear i decide!!!

Peak torque will be about 225 to 250nm, maybe a bit more on a nice cold day.

Who did your brother get that chip from as he was how shall i say "done"
You can get a golf chip for £500 real time mapped giving you 225-240 bhp depending on if he has the K03 or K03s turbo in the car.

he got golf done somewhere in cheshire he has an earlier 1.8T golf that can only be chipped to 200 ish the later ones had the better turbo and the A3 his next mod is to get bigger turbo but he is getting married on friday so he spent all his turbo fund on a wedding for the time being
he spent plenty of time looking into this so wouldn't have thought 225-240 was possible on his. for this you need the fly by wire accelerator and the bigger turbo i think 2001> .
if i'm wrong where can you get this done i'll let him know

Rica gave mine 275NM torque

Rich , my mods and the 2L Engine gave me arround 354Nm of tourque ^^

I've got 252nm with stage1 richmod. But my car was not working properly then it could be even more nowadays...

My apologies!
If he has a K03 which is the early turbo then that would be bang on!
You can get 220 out of it if the car is decatted with a good exhaust but thats depends on each car.
http://www.mrctuning.com is run by friends of mine and they cover all VAG cars top blokes busy but worth the wait.
