Maf and shifter troubles

Post by Optimistic » Sun Jul 17, 2022 2:23 am

Hello,
So today I got the car back o the road after 4months and 5 days of sitting still woo. But when I started it up there were some problems with the idle.
I adjusted the MAF to have .530ohm and since then the car won't idle with the maf connected, it just dies. I can keep it alive by pressing the gas but if i let go, nothing. Also if I unplugg the MAF engine won't rev above 3000rpm and it makes no boost. Idk if this is a safety feature of the roboumod?

Next thing was a short shifter transmission linkage, on the transmission itself, the thingi that connects to the shifter fork on the one side and is in a plastic cradle of sorts in the other, well I installed a shorter one and it keeps jumping out of the cradle. I don't know if the plastic piece is just old and worn out or is the short shifter the problem.

Anyhow, I am really looking forward to find out what the trouble with the maf is, as before I parked the car It was running OK, the idle was fluctuating but I think it's because of a vacuum leak in the turbo inlet pipe hole, where it connects to the idle air controll valve thing.
I hope someone can spread some knowledge here, thanks.

I’m not sure exactly whhat your shifter problem is but you can still buy the gear stick bushes from a Renault dealer: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=34966&p=223548&hil ... lt#p223548

Regarding to the MAF topic i figured it out. The idle air bypass tube going from before to the turbo to the idle air valve, at the intake the tube fell out and the rubber is perrished and broken there.. who knew that.

Regarding to the shifter I will see if the oem part is gonna fix that.
