Green 480 York ring-road

When you spot a 480 and wonder if it's someone from the forum: ask it here! One rule: do NOT post registration plates.

Green 480 York ring-road

Post by dcwalker » Tue Dec 12, 2017 6:27 pm

Spotted a peacock green 480 this morning around 9.30 on the York ring-road, at the roundabout junction with the A59. Being driven by a bearded gentleman, looked to have Taurus wheels; but couldn't see much else in the traffic.

First 480 I have seen out and about for months (years?) other than when we have had our meets, of course ;)

Was it anyone on here? Too much traffic to wave across and I was going the other way in the V60 anyway, so I wouldn't have stood out...

Definitely one of the best colours, I agree ;)

Must admit, frenchfries, until I saw the driver my first thought was whether it was you!

I am also not biased at all  and share this opinion

Though I have one in Paris Blue as well, and that one just had a life-extending operation (over 3000 pounds  ) so I actually have two favourite colours to choose of...

Update from facebook (beaten Rachel to it!!)

It's a member on here but he can't reset his logon. Once we get some admin onto it, he'll be reporting in I'm sure.

And.... I'm back!
Yes that was me you saw. Tuesday and Wednesday I work around York and so make the journey across from Leeds.
For the record I'm not a Geography teacher! I am however a musician and would have been on my way to teach at various schools so you're not a million miles away!

Hurrah! Glad you are on here!

I'll keep a look out - during the spring/summer months you might jut spot me in my green GT. From what little I could see, yours looked very nice, BTW...

Good to know of another 480 relatively nearby!
