period spots

When you spot a 480 and wonder if it's someone from the forum: ask it here! One rule: do NOT post registration plates.

On another forum a guy has posted some period cars shots, clocked a couple of volvo's in the mix.

Not great shots but interesting looking back how different the 480 was at the time.

was always futuristic.

when I was a lad they were the preserve of the wealthy like the SAABs which seemed to be owned by doctors and the likes.

Even today I thnk it stands up well.

Fantastic! Car parks like I remember them - Maestro, Escort etc...

And the 480 always stood out for me and still does :D

Great photos!

And next to the 480 the rejected Volvo Tundra a.k.a. Citroën BX stands out, too, it's late model with colour coded bumpers and smoked rear light lenses. They have long been a very unbeloved car (which applied also to the Volvo 300-series), but have become very sought after now there are so few good examples left.

Present cars: 1994 Volvo 480 GT 2.0i, 1999 Volvo S70 2.5 Europa, 2010 Volvo V70 2.0F Momentum
