New 480 @ The Lakes

Post by Jay-Kay-Em » Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:28 pm

Stopped by the Lakes today and was astonished to see a fresh 480. Might be old news to some I guess.

Image

Was told to leave well alone; apparently purchased by the proprietor with a broken cambelt and "he's going to stick a replacement head on it".. which I take with a pinch of salt. My bets are it will sit there for a year and then get broken.

The last one there (a gun metal grey that sits round the back) was "group-harvested" which I just missed out on. If any of the Lakes regulars manage to crack him and this one gets harvested too, can I put my name down for a few bits - or be invited to the harvesting too?

Time will tell on its fate I guess....

Cheers, Jay.

Old news to me!

Not just a broken cambelt, but a stolen cat too! Arches have been replaced (poorly) too.

Shall be keeping an eye on it and will hollar if it's fate changes.

If he does end up parting out, I would be interested in some parts too!

I'd put a wanted post up, rather than wait for this to be broken!
