Was about to have a rant about this not being "Tuning and Tweaking" but it does say General is "none technical".

Really we don't have a suitable place for projects, as has been mentioned.

Just seems silly calling what effectively is the full conversion of a car from one spec to another - 'tweaking'

Anyway, with Loki's help...the ES is now minus an engine...

I've said before, things may be going on in the background

I did move this first to the Engine forum but really those forums are for technical support rather than projects

Plus i'm not really touching the engine..rather than treating it as a component.

I know the power unit was spot on...so why mess?

So quick 2 blame me!!!!!! I blame JT. Swinging the engine around, hanging from the roof by a piece of 2mm thick steel, when a jar of PAS fluid is balanced on the corner of a piece of wood isnt a good idea especially when im around half asleep. Was fookin funny tho. :lol:

@Sophie- :oops: :oops: :oops:

Ok, might look like i've not done much today, but Neil and myself were at it again.

Swapped (broken) engine mount, and (bent) PAS pump. Buffed up alternator and installed it. New cambelt on. (125 teeth FTW).

Inlet manifold removed and all the rocker cover/front of engine cleaned up.

Battery tray painted.
Engine painted in parts. Sump renovated.

Heres a pic showing my shiney alt.

- Also, i won the clutch on ebay!! If you're that person who kept increasing your bid in the last 30 seconds...may you experience itchy balls for 4 or more days as punishment!
