I have a blank shelf in between the heater controls and stereo, does anyone know if it would be possible to retrofit these gauges?

I don’t believe so - they are for the 440/460 and will be too short to fit in that space. The 480 ones aren’t that hard to come across anyway, but they did two versions, one for the Turbos and one for the S/ES

However you will need a mechanical oil pressure sender with the adapter if you want the oil pressure needle to work properly. Otherwise when you connect it up, will just act as an on/off switch.

Check the door stays (metal arm by the hinges) - they may well have separated from the door itself, probably on the inside. Not uncommon on the driver's door, less so on the passenger side (purely based on frequency of door opening and closing).

The fix usually involves some welding as the door stays tend to be stronger than the thin section of door to which they are bolted...
