The 66k Mile Garage Find

Post by Micahs95turbo » Thu Jul 18, 2019 4:17 pm

Hello all! Thank you for accepting me into the forum.

I have just purchased a “garage find” 1995 Volvo 480 Turbo from Gateshead, UK, sight unseen.

I have seen a few pictures for now and will be getting it delivered by one of this forum’s very own on Saturday!!!

I have been looking for the right 480 since I moved to the UK in 2013, and did not give up when I moved to Germany. The right one had to be green or red, manual, turbo, and have leather seats. The lower mileage, the better. Now that I have my perfect car, I will be cleaning the dust off, polishing it up, and replacing a ton of factory parts as I get it back to roadworthy.

Expect many more questions and requests in the near future. :D

Well done on saving that and good luck with getting it back on the road.

Funnily enough I am from Gateshead and right now in flight to Munich.

Let us know if we can be of any help. I believe that there is good parts availability in Germany but they are quite expensive.

Are you a member of the German club also? Is it very active?‎

So glad another turbo has been saved - especially as it'll eventually head off to wow our cousins on the other side of the pond!

Just remember we LOVE pictures! ;)

I hope the moderators will forgive me addressing Micahs95turbo in his native language.

No problem at all, but I think he’s an American stationed in Germany!
