So after what must be the best part of 3 months with very little progress I can now say the rear end, including wax protection of all box sections, sills, arches etc inside and out, is finished and the car has been turned round to do the front. As can be seen initial prep has started.
The plan at the moment is to strip out and restore/renew the brakes, drive shaft and suspension as per the rear. Rust treat and underseal as per the rear. Hoping to do very little to the steering. Remove the engine to restore the subframe. Again hoping not much will be needed to the engine itself other than the sticking exhaust valve, belts, water pump, aux pump, starter motor (which was becoming intermittent) and a general service and clean. I’m sure the list will grow through.
Once this is complete the car will need prepping for a re-spray and then the interior, glass etc putting back in.
I’m fairly sure she won’t be ready for the May meet

(and being realistic probably any meet this year

) but will probably still join you all for at least part of the run.
