Hi,
I made an unwise decision and decided to buy and rebuilt an 480.
It is a regular 480S from 1994 with 2.0 engine, 234 color, manual gearbox, jacquard interior, air con, abs, airbag etc.so pure option with no costly gadgets.
Works done so far include:
- full bodywork -> car was stripped apart completely, derusted, re-welded were applicable and repainted in the superwhite
- brake system renewed incl. new stiff lines, clamps discs, pads
- suspension renewed incl. stiffer lowering springs, all new joints, bearings etc. were replaced
- engine got new water pump, cam belt, spark plugs, ignition cables etc.
- all new fluids&filters
- minor and major electric fixes
- soundproofed
To do's left:
- rev.counter repair (tested on 3 different sets of instruments)- no idea what to do:(
- some styling
I made some pics during the process, however I was so excited/busy that most of the work wasn't documented. So here a small photo story as I had no time to play with it before:
stripped
rust
bodywork
renewed rear suspension
new breaks and suspension
first day after paintwork
soundproofed
putting all bits together
