And now on to some exciting news. I've finally got round to fitted my rear spoiler after picking it up from the college where my mate sprayed it.

BOOM!!!
Finally got round to converting Vera to Vented discs.

I've also received some parts thanks to GlasgowJim and now her instruments all seem to work, though the speedo needle needs adjusting.

BTW does anyone have a clue as to what this white, 2 pin connector is for?

I don't think it is. The other IC dash board I have doesn't have this connector, it has the holes for it though. I also can't find any plug or wires behind the dash to connect to it. Everything works though apart from the Oil temp which is constantly reading cold.

Cruise Control sender?

That's how the system picks up a speed signal on other models like the 900 series.

Hammers can't fix a 480!!!

Well I thought I'd try and see if I could find the oil leak that has appeared. I suspected it was the oil pump and the leak was in the vicinity of it.
After inspecting for a good hour I can't tell if it is leaking but I think it's highly likely.
Whilst I was at it I thought about looking for the oil temp sensor or the wires for it at least. could find that either. :(

I was beginning to think I wouldn't make any progress today. But then I decided to do this:

Then this:

I managed to find the wire's for the fog lights, turns out I have the connectors that allow me to use the later style which I like better than the older one's :D
I changed over the switches from the double bank to the triple and inserted a relay into the space in the fuse box and hey-presto I have working fog lights.
I also connected up the outside air temp sensor and checked it worked, which it did.

Now all I've gotta do is to wait until my friend finishes the foglight grill and I can install the new bumper with the fog lights installed and the front splitter. :hopping:

It's been a while since I've updated anything on here.
So here's Vera's current condition ;)
Image

Front and rear bumpers changed,
Wind deflectors added,
Painted grill added with satin black brightwork,
Front splitter added and snapped off after 1 day,
Borbet type A's 16x7.5 (was running on stretched 195/45r16's that came with wheels, now on Hankook K120 Ventus V12 evo2 205/45r16)
Boot roller cover added.

Next on the to-do list is finish getting the remaining spares painted and fitted (Doors, Bonnet, Bonnet scoop, Nose cone)
Then repaint the un-removable panels,
Repair the hole underneath and underseal,
Fix the leaking rear lights again,
Find and fit an Oil level/temp sensor,
Have a 14th play with the Info Centre (Seems to work fine for 2 weeks after each play, then decides it wants some more attention)
Possible custom exhaust??
