Ok so my first 480 I had, I did the worst thing possible to it I CRASHED IT.
A serious write off (span it on the A27 and hit the barrier) check below for the sad pictures of the crash :cryhard:

(notice how the corner of impact indicators and head lights dont smash but the side that isnt hit are all broken :eek: )

safe to say the volvo 480 on that day saved my life ;)

So now a year later and growing sick and tired of driving a sensible little VW polo 1ltr around.

Days flew by and each with each passing moment that 480 urge grew until I gave in!

I've recently sold my VW polo and swapped it in for a 480S 2ltr M reg in vine green. She’s so pretty

but like with most the cars i buy its broken, i think its just a simple case of blown head gasket.
I'm also planning to uprate the spec to an ES as it does not have the info centre but does have half leather interior and nice volvo alloys.

ok ive done the gasket change and its still nakkerd :'(
when i got the head off i noticed on of the pistons is broken (with a scorn bore to match)

also i suspect the head is warped :cryhard:

oh well with all that wrong with it, im gonna be cheaper and easier to get hold of a new engine :?

ok ive now got a new engine :hopping: thankyou very much gingherheed

had a fun morning over at gingherheed place with the front half of his old 480 2ltr

but ive got the engine back now and just cleaned it all up, planning to fit the engine this weekend (but not looking forward to the bad weather :cryhard:
