what parts have a 480 and an S40 got in common ?

Am having to scrap an S40 because it will cost to much to mot although I suspect the barstewards sorry garagemen (of doubtful parentage I may add) are gilding the lily so I am having to scrap the car .
Are any of the parts compatible with the 480 like the alternator?
