Re: 240 keys
The car throughout my childhood was a 1983 240DL estate "A233 MUR".
Dad ran that well past 200,000 miles. I kept the owners manual when it departed...
Looks like there were two key styles, with & without a rubber head. There's also saloon / estate differences. I guess that's to enable a "valet key" function which is pointless on the estates as you can just reach over the back seats...

480 is the same. It would have came with a smaller headed key which also was for "valet" purposes.

Re: 240 keys
I was just wondering if you knew anything about a bug with the casset player, it switches between rev and fwd every couple seconds stopping the music playing properly

Re: 240 keys
Don't know if that's a bug specific to a 1983 240 or just general problems with a 40 year old tape deck!
If its "auto reverse", then if the tape reels go tight, the player thinks its reached the end of the tape and flips sides. This will get your switching as you describe.
All 40 year old tape decks I have serviced have roughly the same age related problems. Rubber drive belts going hard, rubber rollers rock hard with no grip, fluff where there shouldn't be fluff, grease that has set rock hard. The only good thing about all that is that they are mechanical reasons, and not mystery electronic problems, so in theory fully serviceable.
