Well remember when the Cavalier Mk1 was created by sticking a Manta front end on an Ascona body? I imagine it would be similar...dcwalker wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 5:13 pmI guess it would be possible. As Jeff says, the 440 front end is longer. However, the engine subframe is the same and the engine compartment has the same front end to it as far as where the radiator sits etc. The longer nose where the bumper and headlights are is largely all open space inside.
The only issue, as I see it, would be whether the inner wings are the same - I suspect they don't slope as much, so some re-designing would be required to fit 480 wings.
I'm now busy trying to imagine what it would look like!

inner wings, waht about top of scuttle, you need to get two apart and then try the 440 wingg onto the 480 to see how much had to be removed?dcwalker wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 5:13 pmI guess it would be possible.
