Is it worth it?

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Is it worth it?

Post by Big Brother » Wed Nov 02, 2005 7:49 pm

I am thinking of getting a set of half leather interior for the ES, I can get a good set for £100 from Newcastle So I’m just wandering is it worth £100 or is that a little to high?

Cheers

In a shell Ad, yes! I think Sal is in more need of one than your ES.

Sally had asked the guy about it, but he isn't in Newcastle, it's Newsastle-under-Lyme near Stoke-on-Trent - just a bit further than Newcastle.

I think she's decided it isn't worth travelling that far to get it.

The pics of the interior show it to be in good condition though...

I presume this is the chap who has 3 480's? I think that £100 for a leather interior is well worth it.

With regards to pics, has anybody got any of all his interiors because i keep emailing him but he doesn't seem to reply all that quick!

£100's a bargain...i allowed £150 for when i eventually get my car back on the road. Just do it!

It is half leather but it is the two tone type, not the jaquard type. He has three, of which ive seen two. One is in good nick the other is not as good but would smarten up. Prob worth £80 odd. Makes your car look nicer, and two tone half leather is arguably rarer than the jaquard :D

LOL, did someone change my post?!? :? I'm sure I said "in a shell, NO!"

Don't think you'll add a penny value wise on resale, as the interior in your ES is pretty clean and tidy from memory anyway. Well, that's just my opinion, now if your interior was like Sal's drivers seat, well it would be different.

@Sally, @Adam: both keep your hands off, the leather is getting totally stained and it will only go cheaper because of it!!
