Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Well... I have not had any money back from DBS myself yet from the aborted project, so I will be interested in when people get their money back. Admittedly I haven't asked for a specific figure yet, but I have emailled him twice and SMSd him once and had no reply to any of this.

Gonna write him a letter next :)

@ Strangegame: Last time i looked this was a public forum and this particular topic is EXTREMELY relevant for those who may still be considering the pros and cons of using DBS's services.

What is the problem with making all of this common knowledge if it helps Forum members to judge on where to get their work done.

I think it's quite easy to forget that Dave is not just a forum member, and a username, but also a businessman who has held monies from certain parties for considerable periods of time without any work being done to account for it.

You try sticking ££££ of other people's money in a bank, making however much in interest, whilst keeping them waiting for something and i think you'll find this tends to make you quite (justly) unpopular.

As it happens, i have just had a major piece of work carried out on my car which i may once have considered giving to DBS to do.
I'm now glad i didn't.
Easier availability of this type of information may speed newer forum users to a similar conclusion with greater ease.

If you haven't dealt with DBS then your not in a position to comment IMO.

All that was asked if people had their money back, if people stick to that theme i don't see a problem.

I sent a third email today after I wrote the above, and to be fair, DBS has replied to this one saying that he's "working it all out"...

Well, I'm prepared to wait another few days and see what happens.

How many days is "just a few more" I'm still waiting for refund, sent plenty of emails, with no response at all, looks like I'll have to send some one around to remind him in person. :kill:

OK, I've now had enough. I gave Dave an ultimatum to get me his calculations of what money he owes me witin 24 hours or I'll take things further.

So today, I got in to find an email from DBS, telling me he owes me £50

So, for over £2000 that I gave him for a heap of stuff I haven't got, he owes me £50????

Hope you do all get your refunds though. I really do.

I'm gonna have to consider my options now...

(And you can tell how serious an issue this is by the very fact I've decided to be public about it now, which I have resisted doing for months now)

So, is there any other way of getting a spoiler? Will one fit from another car? I don't want one of those auniversal aluminium things. I want body coloured, pretty much like the DBS ones on his website.

Oops, I meant to say rear spoiler. I'm not used to calling the bit at the front a spoiler. I usually refer to them as air damn or splitter, lip etc.
