Joining the other side

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Joining the other side

Post by Benji » Mon Mar 28, 2005 10:29 pm

Well, its been great whilst i have been here, but its time to call an end to the stripped out volvo that i was loving, clutch number 3 has gone bang, gearbox number 2 isnt sounding healthy, so im calling it a day, if I cant get it reliable on the road, there is no way it is going to live on the track. So I am afraid my friends, that I am changing brands, to a saab.

I will post soon what is being removed from the car, some of the highlights are clear front indicators, 2 sets of 15" 5 spoke alloys, koni adjustable shocks, pi springs, etc, but will generate a list.

:dunno: mate how hard do ya drive it
I really don't think (unless you spend more dosh and I mean lots)
A 480 will ever be the best track car although it has to be said it has
masses of potential ;) however pile in the dosh and look great on
the track driving a true modern classic
There's a bit of 480 in all of us

Wow, you guys really do want it still warm.

What have i been doing, driving how i always do, hard and on the limit, the only way i know how, dont drink, dont smoke, so have to unwind somehow.

At the minute, the car i was going to get the bloke has just sold it before i got there, despite telling him i was coming.

I am looking at a saab 900 turbo.

I duly note all those interested in parts, and will those people please pm me how much they wish to pay (please dont be insultingly low).

I don't drink or smoke and I still drive at the speed limit, well except when I'm following Gaz in his T4

The advantages of a live transplant as apposed to a cadaveric transplant is that the organs used are much fresher and are less likely to be rejected......
