Every Day I Write The Book - Insurance Matters

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Every Day I Write The Book - Insurance Matters

Post by MisterH » Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:45 pm

Hi all, sorry I have been quiet for a long time its just been one thing after another

I want to talk about insurance and namely the fact that I am now working as an insurance broker with Park Insurance Services. I am responsible for handling classic and specialist vehicles and I just wanted to say that for Volvo 480 Club Europe members I have negotiated a reasonable offer with my superiors that involves a discount through the waiving of our admin fee of £50 on any policy taken out on a 480. I know it doesn't sound much, but I always wanted to be able to make a difference from the inside for enthusiasts and with times being tight as they are I hope it will go some way to keeping these cars viable for all.

So if your wedge needs insuring or renewal date is coming up, email me at ben.hooper@parkinsurance.co.uk and I will give you a callback to sort something out.

Any further questions drop me a line on the PMs
Cheers all, you've helped me out a lot

Excellent news - Next would be some insight on where they get their values from for policies.

Oh and can I insure a fleet of classics?

Well the value of the car is what you put down, but you might need to provide pictures and references for an agreed value. And yes I was expecting that question, we have a fleet facility and I think some of our underwriters take classic fleets, not sure if wedges are what they are expecting tho
