Any advice or suggestion?

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Any advice or suggestion?

Post by PedroRyan » Thu Dec 21, 2023 11:12 am

Considering putting my car in storage for the winter to address rust issues and pending repairs. Bunny, my daily driver, needs attention to dash, rear lights, etc. Unsure if it's a good idea or if I'm being overly cautious. Would appreciate advice on whether preserving her is worth it for the long run. Open to suggestions.

Really depends on how bad the rust is and how much its going to cost. I'd recommend getting that evaluated first. Everything else can be sorted.

Well, it certainly doesn't make any financial sense. 2023 and values are still a country mile off P1800ES with no signs of ever getting close.

There has to be a bit of heart over head.

You do get quite an exclusive car in return though.
