Exhaust parts suppliers

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Exhaust parts suppliers

Post by Landa » Mon Jul 24, 2023 10:33 pm

Evening all

My 1.7L 1992 ES needs a new exhaust.

I can get a 2.0L centre pipe and back box easily, but finding the 1.7 parts much harder to get.

I’ve bought a 2.0 centre and back and will try to make a new joint ti fit after the cat. They take the same route but have different joints and diameters I believe.

Also the 2.0 has the lambda sensor in the down pipe whereas the 1.7 is in the cat

Anyone tried it?

Anyone know where to get a 1.7 back box at a reasonable price?

Cheers

Chris

In this thread you'll see a NOS one for some 1.7. Still for sale this morning.
