Front number plate holders and pollen filter housings

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Front number plate holders and pollen filter housings

Post by dragonflyjewels » Thu Nov 11, 2021 11:43 am

Wayne at WR Composites has copied these for us so he now has the moulds to make them for other 480 owners.

The number plate holders are £80 each and the 2 part filter housings are £120. Not exactly cheap but a real godsend for Al's hayfever ! The filters are readily available on ebay. They look exactly the same as the originals, just a bit heavier as they are fibre glass.
Unfortunately we haven't got a diverter cup for the air intake - anyone on here got one we could borrow ? It has to be for a rhd car - we tried a lhd one thinking we could just turn it around but it didn't fit

Wayne can be contacted either via his website or on 07561406974.

Great news :hopping:

Perhaps a Christmas present for Pud...

Thanks for arranging this Sylvia. Afraid I don't have the diverter cup, I made my own for Lily. It doesn't need to be as elaborate as the original to do the job.

I have heard a yogurt pot makes an acceptable substitute.
