Volvo 480 Club Europe

As a long time member I remember all the good times and the not so good times. I’ve been on a decade break from the 480 even though I still had one which is now in a sorry state but also just taken in 2 more stray 480s.

I can’t believe the forum is still a thing what with the creation of this new strange world of social media.

As for now I’m back on the 480 groove let’s hope I can relight the fire that once burnt

Facebook's growth of "groups" saddens me because information is, in my opinion, more valuable in forums than facebook groups.
In forums, the information is categorized, easily available no matter its age.
On facebook, information is all mixed up, quickly disappears, the search engine feature is appalling and all is made to make users post short messages or "likes". Posts and comment sections are an endless universe of “click to see more”. The posts also seem to be an endless repetition of the same thing.

Hello Lee, I'm so pleased to see another saviour of 480s, fingers crossed all three make it back on the road.
I think strange is the right word for social media, as far as I'm concerned they are the 'look at my dinner' mob
Anyhow, you've probably seen that I organise a couple of meets a year when we drive in convoy and gather round each others' cars for all things 480 chats. Hope you will be able to join us - regardless of what you are driving you will be very welcome.
