Evening I was wondering if any body can help me.
I have a storm grey 480 paint code 323, I have been told Dark pearl metallic is the same colour code 427 does anyone know if this correct as it is easier to get code 427. It does look very similar.
Thanks
Richard

You'd be better off just getting a some mixed up. Most paint suppliers can mix you an aerosol up specific to your colour.

Thanks. Any recommendations for companies as I can't find anyone that does 323 Storm grey.
Found 323 but they call it dark pearl on ebay?

So, down here in MK, I tend to use LKQ. See if they have a local branch, or just google for paint suppliers.
Don't worry too much about paint names; Give them your FULL colour code, because,in my case, there's actually a difference between 318 and 318-1
Depending on their facilities, they may even be able to match based on a sample (petrol flap, mirror cover etc)

I wouldn’t go too much on names either as 480 Europe call 323 Dark Grey Metallic, Volvo owners call it Storm Grey Metallic and some other places call it Dark Grey Pearl. But as jifflemon says use the whole code as it can make a difference.

Re: 323 Storm grey paint
I would get a shop to mix it up themselves, using the full paint code, I ordered mine from a place near Peacehaven, I gave them the full “flame red metallic 322” and that’s what they mixed up, I’ve got the full paint ready to go on the whole car, and I got some aerosols made up just to touch in the rear quarter after the welding, came out a treat, so I would say (like everyone else has said) that that is your best bet

Definitely use the whole code - the number after the dash indicates the original paint manufacturer and the colours do vary slightly. If they have the full code, they can use the correct 'recipe'.
