A little hello

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

A little hello

Post by DyVo » Thu Mar 08, 2018 4:07 pm

Hi everyone,

My name is Dylan. I've owned a Volvo 480 for a little while now (Since august last year) and have been very happy with it.
Apart from some minor (read major) work it needed doing of course.
So far I've replaced or serviced quite a few parts:
- Shocks all around
- Rear and mid section exhaust muffler
- Passenger side rear brake caliper (handbrake was stuck)
- Rear light seals
- Resealed the high beam lights up front
- Installed an original CR906 radio
- Replaced the dash PCB along with its' lamps
- Replaced driver side window mechanism
- Installed a set of JBL front speakers

There is probably a lot I forgot to mention, but those would be the main things.
Anyways, just a little post to say hello, I've been lurking on the forum for a while now and never bothered creating an account. Until now.

So, without further ado, my 480S from 1992 :)

Welcome! :D

Car looks very nice in that photo in the sunshine - your list of jobs done sounds like mostly the normal 480 things, so now you can just enjoy the car!

Thanks David!

She does have some minor bruises, but nothing too major. Rest of the stuff indeed was standard 480 maintenance.
I absolutely love the car as well, it's been a blast so far, even did 210 on the Autobahn a while back :D
