Newbie to the 480

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Thanks!!
VRT (Irish import tax) just done so now on Irish plates.

Next step is to prepare the car for an NCT (like an MOT), looking at the following stage 0 items:
Replace rear disks and pads
Adjust rear callipers for handbrake
Replace front disks and pads
Replace 4 spark plugs
Replace 5 ignition leads, distributor cap and rotor arm
Replace fuel filter
Replace timing belt, belt tensioner/belt idler, and water pump
Replace auxiliary belt
Replace brake fluid
Replace automatic gearbox fluid
Valve clearance adjustment
Clean crankshaft ventilation system
Replace engine coolant, does it require flushing?
New tyres, Firestone 1856514TRS (MULH2 86T)
Tidy up surface corrosion on the rear arches

Get all that done then NCT it and make it roadworthy.

Assuming all that is a success then the next step is to get a RED respray and renew the upholstery, introducing a full leather interior

All done then.......long road to travel yet!

Yes, it looks good in red

I also like gun metal grey but I'm not a fan of Maroon or White, just my preference

There is a leather interior knocking about on the Volvo 480 UK forum
