March 2018 practical classics

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

March 2018 practical classics

Post by arthuy » Sun Jan 21, 2018 10:08 pm

Spotted that the march 2018 will have a buyers guide for the 480.

Wonder if there are enough cars coming up for sale to make it worthwhile....

I don't know how accurate the buyer's guide may be, and where they have their information from.
But the fact is, I bought my Matra Murena back in 2000 because there was a review in Practical Classics about it. So expect the demand for a good Volvo 480 to go up :)
As I don't have a shop nearby who sells Practical Classics and buying through their website has a hefty price tag (€12.06 instead of £4.50!), is anyone in the UK willing to buy one for me and send it in an envelope across the North Sea? Of course I will re-imburse the cost of the magazine, the envelope and the postage!
Robert.

Hi Brinkie,

If you still need a copy, can you send me your address please? I'm going in to town today so will check the newsagent to see if they have this yet. They still had the old one out earlier in the week.‎

We do - Kevin is the president of the Volvo Enthusiasts club, which we also belong to and is also the owner of ST1 - the P1800 used for filming The Saint. Nice guy, his daily runner is a 480.

Thanks for the offer, sorry for the late reply. I'm already sorted, Jeff has bought two copies and has my address.

Edit: thanks to the non-functioning email feature of the forum (and lack of proper administration) I have noticed too late you have bought an extra copy, of course I will make sure you didn't spend the £££ to it for nothing.

Once again, thanks for trying to help me out! :)
Robert.
