Moving this out of Spotted.
It looks great stuff.
If you were to dribble it over a crack in say a rear light cluster once its worked its way in and dried can the residual on the surface be cleaned/polished/scraped off easily leaving a flat smooth surface?

In theory yes.
They advise to wipe before it dries in.
I have used it on screen leaks.

I've bought a bottle of this and will be using it soon so I'll keep you updated.
I may be using it in conjunction with some other sealant but hopefully between the two it'll do the trick.
If I'm honest, I didn't want to use sealant and would have preferred a set of new seals to do the job properly, BUT, having looked closely at the existing cluster and how its been done, I don't think i could remove it without a high risk of damage. With the clusters as rare as hens teeth I'm going to have to go against my instincts and re-silicone. Hey ho...as long as it is dry that's the main thing.

Know what you mean my car is stripped down and will have an almost full re-spray when I’ve finished the other work but I have had to leave the rear lights in for fear of damage.PJP wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2017 12:18 pmIf I'm honest, I didn't want to use sealant and would have preferred a set of new seals to do the job properly, BUT, having looked closely at the existing cluster and how its been done, I don't think i could remove it without a high risk of damage. Re: Captain Tolleys Creep and Cure
I LOVE this! It drys to a thin quite stiff powdery residue, like very dilute, brittle PVA glue. On my white paint work it looks a bit like dried unbuffed wax when I miss a bit, by this time its pretty hard to shift- on paint I struggle to shift it with cutting compound, but I think it would sand quite nicely on the lights. I think its great for a quick repair on a back window, lamp seal etc when you dont have time to strip it down. I really recommend giving it a good wipe down after a few mins of it 'penetrating' tho as it is really hard to shift!
