photobucket account has gone bye byes

As per title just realised that my photobucket account has seemingly terminated . PB doesnot recognise my email address or username .

has antone else had this problem recently?

Not yet, but I will download all my pictures off them very soon, before for some reason mine will be gone as well.

I tried mine yesterday for the first time in about a year to post the picture of my front spolier and it is working fine.

Is there a "forgot your username of password" button?

Many pictures I've posted over the years on other hosts seem to have expired, but Photobucket has still been reliable for me. As suggested above, maybe you made an error with your user/pass.

Definitely worth dropping them an email (support@photobucket.com) as it does look like they had some recent issues during an "upgrade". As a cloud provider I doubt they could ever truly "lose" something, but the sooner you act, the more chance you have of recovery.

I had same issue with Google Photos, slight panic and then two days later 're-appeared' , issue during upgrade was teh reason given

A others have said, hard to believe that a company like Photobucket won't have backups, how long they keep them for is another matter.

I just tried to look at the how-to thread for ignition lock changes and was disappointed by the sudden lack of photos - hopefully it's just a glitch on their part!

Followed the procedures from photobucket and have recovered my username but their system wont recognise it.

BUT surprise

if you go to google images and type in glasgowjim photobucket you will get all my photos + a few from other people as well.

In the meantime, I'm going to try and grab as many of your old images as I can!

never used photo bucket, always google as a back up, my photos are on my PC and a bundle of USB in the garage sos two back-ups

I use google photos as well and I think that there are some settings so that you make the photo 'public' but maybe you need a gmail account to see the link?

Can see it when I click the link, just not embedded.... That's a shame.

That said, sometimes it's better if the image remains on the server - Means that we've a permanent record, rather than at the whim of account hosting etc...
