bad news, there has been an accident with the car .
and the Insurance company , wants to write it off. And for 785 pounds.
This would be a lump some. But I told them it was worth more . How to prove that the car is worth 1500 ? they need 3 pieces of evidence like advertisements or proof of sale. I found one on eBay listing. But I may need more. What is your advice and can anyone here send me some recent proof, that an excellent Version of our cars is worth this.
I would greatly appreciate it.
It took me a long time to be able to write this post. I didn't have the heart to tell anyone.

Re: O'no accident insurance.
Sorry to hear about your accident, I hope you are well.
I have checked a couple of sites and found the following for sale.
Car and classic cars for sale has one at £1599 there are two on classic cars for sale @ £1500 and an optimistic £4160
Though I expect they would like to see the sold prices.
However I have also found
http://www.classicandperformancecar.com ... /?see=3471
This lists values from £500 average condition to £1250 for excellent.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Sorry to hear about the accident also, metal can be repaired tho so not the end of the world
Worst case scenario and they do write it off...can you buy it back??
edit
Practical Classics do a regular feature on prices:
http://www.practicalclassics.co.uk/imag ... EGUIDE.pdf
This one has no date that I can see but the magazine cover on page 6 is from March of this year. Value of a 480 turbo is given as 325 (rough) to 2000 (concours)
I think I know which end of the scale mine is sitting....

Thank you all of your Kind Help . I have forwarded it to the Insurance company. I will let you know what the conclusion is.

It's really worth dropping the hint to the insurance company that you would be interested in buying back from them (IF you can have repaired with used parts for what they will offer you). I did this earlier this year on a car in the family, and ended up with top money for mine plus money over once my car was repaired. The only downside is that its officially a Cat C (uneconomical repair) but as I'd spent lots on maintenance and if I bought another it would be a gamble again anyway, it was worth it.
