Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Are there any active members in the West Midlands/Shropshire area ?
So many people just use this place as a free sales pitch for their cars :badmood:
Would be nice to know I'm not the only one

I'm in Shrewsbury too; problem is that, although I've owned two turbo autos in the past, I no longer have a 480. As you can see, I still visit the site regularly. If you have any problems, it may be that I've had them too and may be able to help.

I am just north of Kidderminster on A442 so a bit closer than your 50 miles.I am a standard ES owner-had it about 20 years and it still likes a blast up the Shrewsbury by-pass!
There is another one in the area as I have seen it in the Llynclys area a couple of times, but obviously not a member of this forum.

Hi there fellow members,

Im new on here and really do need some help from you all, :D

My name is Jag, im in the South Wales area and i have owned my 89'-G 480T for about 5/6 years. Its done a genuine 86K and hasnt put TYRE wrong in all those years, she's getting on now and is showing many signs of her age. :bored:

Im looking to fix her up as she's been off the road on my drive for the last 3 years. She's had a lot of work done (will post some pics when i get the chance) and i know now that there will allways be something that needs doing.

Ok, so enough of the introduction im new on here and looking to make friends and hopefully donors lol. I really miss the car and after crashing My daily work car i may aswell go back to enjoying driving again and get her back on the road.

I am in desperate need of some help with a rad, mine has a hole in it (leaks) and overheat's.
My Drivers door seal is in a bad way hence why i thnk my carpets and soaking.
Instrument cluster has gone from tempermental to - i dunno its not working as much as it was.
i could do with a half leather heated interior. Mold has overwhelmed my light blue cloth.
My windscreen has also cracked, but only partially as its passed the MOT.

So just to sum it up guys, im very pleased now to be a member, i should have signed up years ago but thats how it goes.
I would appreciate any positive comments or discussions. Im not looking for charity, i just wanna get my Turbo back to its glory and let the Retro classic of the 80's rip up the roads as it once did. If there's anyone in my area or any area that wants to help me out please get in touch, ill be checking this forum more often now that im registered.

Cheers

i look forward to any reply's! :{)

For pictures you need to upload them onto some sort of image hosing website (photobucket etc) then put the [img] code to the picture in your post. You'll also need ten posts before you're allowed to post pictures
