Finally...

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Finally...

Post by Rachel » Wed Jul 04, 2012 1:54 pm

...picked up my 480T from a family members garage and drove it back home, it was the last thing to move after moving house in march. New cam belt, aux belt and new gear box oil before we left...rained all the way.... but didn't stop me from smiling... lots.

It's home now, so all the stuff I have planned will get done bit by bit and as it's now my second car I can take my time doing the bits and enjoy driving it on the nice dry sunny days :hopping: My partner thinks i'm crazy :bla: keeping it, but I know I'd regret it big time if I did, so it aint going anywhere! :D

Good times :D

I've only had my Celebration a month or so, but something tells me it's gonna end up like my Capri... With me for life!!

I'm loving the amount of attention it gets, 3 seperate people stopped to talk to me about it today... Not many cars that attract that sort of attention these days ;)

Steve :hopping:

Hammers can't fix a 480!!!

I've had 7 480s, down to 'just' 4 currently. Love them! So much character, so much to fix, so unlike any Japanese car...the leaks, the crap plastic, dodgy electrics...but the buzz from getting it all working and nipping about in a car that is fun and different from everyone elses...
Good on you for keeping your 480 alive.

So, it now has it's mot....failed first time due to emissions (hole in exhaust) steering rack gaiters split and dodgy fog light switch. Discovered my maf had been tweaked so set it back to standard level which helped sort emissions. Got it all done, so now we are road legal again for another year! Pretty pleased apart from I had to replace my sport cat with a standard cat cause that was were the hole was :( think I might get a decat for the year and have the cat refitted before the next mot
