hey again from an oldie

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

hey all

pretty sure some of the oldies will remember me from a couple of years back.
been volvo less for a few years, had an amg that i played with, but just got bored :D
just bought a nice couple of v70s....2.0 version for daily runner and an awd v70r for play days

am looking at getting hold of a 480 again, my last one was a black one that went to bristol iirc :D

so hey to all, old an new alike, probably see me around the boards a bit now

Hey Rob, how's it going mate? You may remember me from that paris-blue nose swap many years ago? Weirdly I'd completely forgotten about this forum and just remembered I used to spend a hell of a lot of time on here (and on my 480s) so I thought I'd have a quick shufty to see who was still posting. I've been 480 free for a few of years now, after my M reg 480T got written of by some little shit, I kinda lost my heart... too much hard work gone with feck all to show for it. Still have very fond memories of the richmod leaving other cars for dead (and the hair-raising torque-steer from shredded wishbone bushes). Great times... couldn't fault the 480T (richmod) for smiles per pound.
I'm now living in Japan and which is out of temptations way for getting another 480

Greetings me old cockers :hopping:

What a lovely thread.Nice one Rob!

Spoke to Rach last week who mentioned the White 480T for sale.Really tempting, and with the exception of this one being manual, identical to my Charger!I even remember this one for sale now in our area back when I had mine.Remember the reg.

I'm just thinking it'd be cool if we all still came on here, even 480-less.Back in 2003-6ish for me,more hours of the day were spent on here than working, even working on the 480s!
The amount of knowledge we all learned surely could help those on here now.

Mind you,not sure just how many are on here at the moment.I'll speak for myself and just say I'm going to visit hear regularly now.

And good luck selling that white 480!Looks a belter!

Steve :D

Just thought I would pop by and say Hi!

Missing my 480 a lot, but time now being taken up by my Saab 9-5. It just doesn't go wrong though!

I'll probably be making the switch to a 2000-2010 diesel this month though - my mileage has increased and I need the economy.

I still have the 480 doesnt get much use now though as i have an S60R as my everyday car.

Any oldies kicking around still?

Sold my last 480 in 2007! Seem a little rarer now - I owned 6 in total (first was bought in 2005 at the age of 18)...5 of which were bought for under £150 :D Gone are the days where you had to pay to get rid of an MOT failure!

Been in company cars most recently (after some Saab's, an Audi and a Merc), but just about to pick up a XC70 for the Mrs so back in something Swedish.
