Volvo 480 ES and S??

Hi

can anyone tell me the difference between ES and the S version? I have seen a couple of the S versions lately (according to the tailgate), but that dos it mean?

With the 'S' more things were optional extras that you could specify when buying it new. e.g. the infocentre, leather, metallic paint, sunroof, front fogs. Though a few of those were also options on some 'ES's

So the S version was better? more equipped?

otherwise it is total the same?

No the 'S' is very basic spec, most came with cloth seats, no sunroof and no infocentre. I've seen some with plastic wheel trims instead of alloys too. The ES is definately higher spec.

The absolute basic S version with no options purchased had

steel wheels
no info centre
no moonroof

But then you could specify most things as an option so you could avoid features of the es that you didnt like/want. I think thats the logic..
