Did someone say reunion? Glad you're doing well Groomus, sorry to hear about Barney though. Still remember him sneaking in our lounge and snaffling the chocolate decorations from the Christmas tree!
I keep getting tempted by another 480, wish I hadn't sold my green GT
Athough Jayne now runs this
which is a lot of fun, and I've got these

Re: So whos bought M427 TFC then, mine and Roo's old Turbo?
gawd,
it's like an old skool reunion!
Glad to see folks are doin' well!!!
In the last few years I've noticed a huge drop in the number of 480s I see on the road...
We are on the point.... (possibly) of being 480-less......... (Ally's gorgeous Green ES was written off thanks to an oaf of a van driver, who nearly wrote off Ally too) and.......Ruby expired on Thursday, well and truley conked out.... very upset
.....for £1050 that car brought me 6 years of FUN, admiring and confused (what is that?) glances, meeting great folks like yourselves, a mad meet in Wales, and a lovely partner....... priceless.
We added up the possible costs and they are WAY too high to fix her, everyting has gone wrong at once, so have been (gulp) contemplating buying something newer.... and dare I say it... different.... but am really struggling. I always wanted a 480 and just can't seem to see past that ..... NOTHING else has the character, quirkiness, and styling quite like a 480, even although I know it costs so much time and effort to keep the old dears on the road.
Picked up a hire car I've nicknamed 'Hotpoint'...... no prizes for guessing why.....
just feeling pretty confused and a bit rubbish just now
Sx

Bloody hell! It's very much the old timers meet up! I'm half tempted to post another 10000. For the record I gave up 480's and now own a girls car. Mx5 and still have my Spitfire which was restored several years back.

This is a bit of an old school meet up! Hello all. Currently driving a Saab 9-5. Miss the 480's, but just don't have the time for them anymore. I will one day though!
