Hi guys,

For those of you wanting a cheaper but perhaps less elegant way of exceeding the boost limit found in the Volvo timing ECU, I offer a modification that completely removes the limit without affecting engine responce and ignition timing.

You must find some other way of controlling the boost since the OE boost control solenoid will no longer work properly with the modification performed.

Ofcourse, you must observe the limits of other components. The turbo and original injectors being the biggest of all. With a larger turbo, injectors to suite and good intercooling we had no problem making over 200hp in the conversions we did.

Our typical conversion consisted of:
60trim T28, 0.64ar turbine
B23FT green injectors
Modified MAF pipe / bypass
De-restricted ignition module
21psi boost @ manifold
Front mounted intercooler
ES camshafts

Feel free to email me for further information. I do not get onto forums to often.

The forum will not allow me to post a link, so paste this search into Google to find the link to the "product" in our shop.

Widebands last as long as a narrow band

Use a Bosch LSU-4 and place it at the bottom of the downpipe or use a bung extender.

They don't like heat

They are not useful for just tuning at all, for the megasquirt or 99% of aftermarket ecu's

you can use them for closed loop lambda control, for cruising and low revs this will save a lot of fuel as you target higher lambda values 1.05 to 1.15 if your really feeling your tune can handle it.

nothing however beats an oem solution for time and ease. On my current car i've just gone VEMS as I need the wideband feed back, egt feedback and critically losing the crap MAF
