How long have you owned your 480?

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Just out of interest, how many years have you owned a 480 for? For me, coming upto 5 years, doesn't seem like many people are still around.

Over 8 years now and still love it.
I've done 90k in it and bought it with 35k on the clock from the original owner, and have just returned from a trip to the Scottish highlands without any problems.

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)

bought it in March 2006, and its on the road since September 2006, as i got my drivers license finally.

the first half year it didnt move a bit. But now i made about 25k km. Dont know exactly because of the common problems with speedo, and also changed Speedo. :)

First in 1996, since then have had a 1.7 TT, a 2.0 TT see pic below, a celebration, a GT , a couple of turbos (one of which see ebay turbo in engines section). currently a GT owned for 18 months. Most at one time is 3, aCelebration, a TT and teh ebay turbo being done up. I have decided I now want a 2.0 TT again - unless I get tempted by Mr G's £2000

I must be the veteran 480ES owner-14 years! Bought it at 26,000 miles and it is now on 76,000.It has never let me down.It is not pristine, but always been serviced by Volvo.Has the odd bouts of erratic tickover which seems a common fault, but despite some head scratching at times my Volvo garage seem to fix it.Reg ends in POC-but is affectionately known as SPOC! Was spotted recently on M42 by Esta.Wonder if it will be another 14 years before I am spotted again.Going to Gatwick and back (M40,M25)on 30th April,so keep your eyes skinned folks.Hope I don't get a ticket-it's hard to hold her back once she gets her nose down on the motorway! Jim.
