Fed Up

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Fed Up

Post by David » Thu Feb 05, 2009 3:17 pm

First the info-centre, then the exhaust, then the radio, loads of leaks...now (with perfect timing) the heater has stopped working completely. I have had to resort to driving with the windows open to combat condensation...harldy great when there is a bloody snowstorm blowing outside. The 'blower max' fuse has melted into the fusebox rendering it unremoveable. :(
I have had enough, just want to cut my (considerable) losses. Does anybody want to take this burden away from me?? Didn't think so!
:badmood:

The car is going off the road in April anyway (that's when my insurance is up) so will just be idle. Someone take her away from me! :cryhard:

480's

All that is part of the fun of owning one.

Don't give up!!

At the very worst you could get another one and sell the parts from yours to fund it/provide spares.

These cars can be very frustrating but it's worth it.

david knowing when to quit is good. many a good man has left after being beaten into submission as there are some evil 480's out there. Some worse than others VADER was evil and martin took the correct course of action in the end. I would say get rid. If you were by me i would dispose of it for you but your a tad to far from me lol
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Thanks for the support ppl.

I think I'm going to have one last ditch attempt at salvaging the beast...I love her really.

Either way though I think the car will not be driven by me again beyond the summer :(
