How do you tell what number a celebration is without plaque

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

My mum has just bought a 480 celebration (Auto), unfortunatly the plaque is missing, is there any way of finding the number without the plaque?

Not all celebrations came with plaques. Ive seen a couple (and owned one) that are listed as a celebration on the V5, have all the celebration accessories, everything matches a celeb except there is no plaque. Apparently this is due to Volvo selling more than the 480 planned for production. Your dealer may be able to help if you take them the V5.

chances are it's a fake. The Chinese are producing a lot of fake 480 related specials at the moment and selling them on Ebay. I saw one last week where the seller wanted first a money union trans of $100000 before shipping to the UK. The 480 was a fake and has since been crushed under HK law.

Not to be confused by a Vulva 480 Celebration either. That's a rather unique almost-quarter-millenial festival from Germany.

Sorry.
