Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Hello, let me introduce myself to this great forum.
Since last october I'm the prood owner of a 305 480S MY'93, which is upgraded to full GT specs, including an engine from a totalled '95 GT with only 90.000km on it. Been lurcking on this forum since I bought it and it's been a great help fixing some problems. Soldered the speedometer which wasn't working when I bought it, the blower of the VEM needed some fresh loting, putted in a new clutch, a waterhose ruptured and renewed all the bushes from the gearbox linkage. All these problems occured in the first 3 months after I bought it, but since then it runs as good as new. My other Volvo is a pristine white '73 P1800ES with a light blue leather interior. I imported it from California in 1999 and of which I'm currently rebuilding the engine. Never a dull moment with these two I can assure you!

Thanx everyone for the warm welcome to the forum. I will post pictures as soon as I'm allowed too.

No, I'm rebuilding the engine by myself. I know the company though, it's got a good reputation amongst Volvo owners. My cars only see a garage for the anual APK (MOT) or, as for the P1800ES, once every 2 years now that they changed the APK rules for cars older than 25 years.
