My Volvo received the nickname "ZDZIRA" [fonetic sounds like Z-GIRA]. It is an equivalent of the English word "whore/slut". A number plate has the WPI49RA number - is looking alike. Apart from that the car still is not entirely in working order. This way so the nickname is tender-reprimanding :D

my 440 has definatly got a name : - "MY STUPID F*****G CAR"! my reg is M***SFC

480s are the only cars I have named

daughters car is skippy as it had a slight misfire (now cured) hence the name

sons (now mines :hopping: ) louis from M***RLS = robert louis stevenson

previously had a collection of shit british crap cars .....

mini 850cc (broke down once a month only had for a year but was a brilliant car )

marina coupe CRAP
austin 1100 CRAP
ford cortina mark 2 CRAP

a good saab 96 V4 estate GOOD

then I graduated onto the good stuff
volvo 240 too thirsty
volvo 340 first brand new car ever
volvo 440 ok
volvo S40 first ABS underpowered

in the last 30 months:-

volvo 340 (now scrapped)
volvo 480 (scrapped after 3 months) bad buy
volvo 480 - skippy - 2ltr es
volvo 480 - turbo scrapped
volvo480 - 2 ltr es sold on
volvo480 nonrunner P.Ex scrapped
volvo480 - project scrapped
volvo 480 turbo - louis

Geez... I read there were only 19 marinas on the road in the UK... I didn't realise they did a "coupe" version...

First car I have ever named.

After having a branch through the windscreen, which also made a small but noticeable dent in the front of the roof, my Lolvo is now (slightly tastelessly) called René :D
