A Classic in the making....!?

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

A Classic in the making....!?

Post by Roge1 » Thu Aug 02, 2007 12:54 pm

Guys 'n' Girls,

As if we didn't need further confirmation, Classic and Sportscar magazine's September issue will feature the 480ES as their "Classics on the Cusp" choice.

I'd like to think it was in response to a question i submitted to them 2 months ago regarding the classic 'status' of the 480, though i sincerely doubt it....!!

Nice one Roge, a bit more exposure can't be a bad thing as the actress said to the...... :D

Nice to see other peoples viewpoint/impressions of a car you drive everyday in print. Hopefully will persuade more insurers to allow it on 'Classic' car policies too.

Stu.

I think you'd need to be 25 VBB>
Past:
94 Turbo - Red
94 Turbo - Black (Converted from NA 2.0)
92 Turbo - Red
90 Turbo - Silver
Now:
00 Exige
15 GKD Legend
16 Skoda Superb

VBB - my Celeb is insured through Adrian Flux Ltd. Only problem with classic car insurance is there is often limits to yearly mileage etc. Not so much a problem for me, as my daily driver is a Saab but, if you use your 480 as a daily driver, classic car insurance doesn't really offer any benefits.

Just a thought!

You could try Performance Direct - I have mine on a "semi-Classic" policy, no mileage limit - classic orientated policies can usually accomodate younger drivers without too much of a loading.

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)
