Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

"Thou shalt drive your car for another year! Here, haveth this green bit of paper!"

Don't know why the olde english though, he always struck me as an odd man...

So, the car initially failed on front Pads, Rear brake pipes, emissions. Pad's all done, had all the rear brake pipes replaced so they're done (although have an advisory on the O/S/F so that needs to be done)-and the emissions was simply adjusting the MAF from 380 to 460.

So, all in all, not bad for a 14 y/o car. I know there are older than mine, but i'm happy. Specially when i see newer cars coming back with worse fail sheets than mine  quality new cars eh?

But a big thanks to everyone for the kind words and support, and especially for the technimikal advice...i couldn't have done it without you! so a big  for everyone :D Just got a few niggles to sort out now, so off to suspension and engine! :D

congrats, glad to hear it is back on the road (legally) :)

was adjusting the emissions just a case of changing over some resistors, or was it simpler than that?

Ian

PS. Is it just me or has Martin just got insanely random recently, whats up with his avatar btw? looks like he is giving bubles from little britain a good seeing over on the bonnet (*hopes martin skims over this post*)
