Maybe brake lights OK - Front Long Range? - Any ideas?
Hi,

I recently had an issue with the brake lights. Here's the gist....the two rear and the high level light are always on dim. If I brake all 3 get brighter. Now I assume this is correct for the lower two but the high-level should only come on with braking...am I right?

Rear fog lights - do these come on with the lower fogs or with the long range lights?

The long range lights dont seem to work at all. I switch the switch (on the centre console) and nothing. No dash light, nothing. Do these come on with the switch mentioned or the one next to the lower fog lights.

In fact if someone could explain the long-range/fogs and how to activate and what is related to what I would greatly appreciate it.

Many Thanks

John

1) General brake lights - high level (tailgate) light should be off until brake is applied - other 2 lights should be on dimly constantly (running lights)

2) rear fogs - come on when rear fog switch is actuvated, regardless of the other lights.

3) Long range lights - there is no light on the dash to advise of these. Furthermore, the long range lights ONLY come on when you switch your headlights into full beam - they are designed to light the road way ahead up when you use your full beam <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Hope this helped.

1995 480 Turbo, Flame Red Metallic, Jacquard/Leather

Actually, saying the LR lights ONLY come on when in full beam could be a lie - the LR lights also provide your "flash" function when your headlights are down, if that particular function in your car works <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

1995 480 Turbo, Flame Red Metallic, Jacquard/Leather

I thought the rear foglamps only came on when the switch is activated AND the headlamps are turned on.
